Here are some basic knowledge of CNC precision hardware parts processing, which can be shared with all netizens:

1. Chip handling

A long continuous cutting process in which chips are wound around a tool or workpiece. It is generally caused by groove shape, low feed, low and / or shallow cutting depth.

reason:

1. The feed for the selected groove is too low.

Solution: progressive feed.

2. The cutting depth of the selected groove is too shallow.

Solution: select chip breaking to make the blade groove stronger. Increase the coolant flow.

3. The tool tip radius is too large.

Solution: adding cutting depth or selecting chip breaking can strengthen the groove shape.

4. Improper principal deflection angle.

Solution: choose a smaller tip radius.

2. Appearance quality

The appearance looks and feels "hairy", which does not meet the requirements of public service.

reason:

1. The broken chips hit the parts and leave traces on the machined surface.

Solution: select the groove shape to guide chip removal. Change the main deflection angle, reduce the cutting depth, and select the positive rake tool system with central edge inclination.

2. The reason for the hairy appearance is that the groove wear on the cutting edge is too severe.

Solution: select the trademark with better anti-oxidation and wear performance, such as cermet brand, adjust and reduce the cutting speed.

3. If the feed is too high and the tool tip fillet is too small, rough appearance will occur.

Solution: select a larger tool tip radius and lower feed.

3. Burr composition

When cutting is separated from the workpiece, a burr is formed at the end of cutting.

reason:

1. The cutting edge shall not be sharp.

Solution: use the blade with sharp cutting edge: - fine grinding blade with small feed rate (< 0.1mm / R).

2. The feed is too low for the roundness of the cutting edge.

Solution: use the tool handle with small main deflection angle.

3. Groove wear or edge collapse at the cutting depth of CNC precision hardware processing.

Solution: when leaving the workpiece, complete the cutting with chamfer or radius.

4. Oscillation

High radial cutting force, cause: oscillation or trembling scratches caused by the tool or tool device. Generally, it appears when the boring bar is used for inner circle machining.

reason:

1. Improper principal deflection angle.

Solution: choose a larger main deflection angle (KR = 90 °).

2. The tool tip radius is too large.

Solution: choose a small tip radius.

3. Improper roundness of cutting edge or negative chamfer.

Solution: choose a trademark with a thin coating or an uncoated trademark.

4. Excessive flank wear on the cutting edge.

Solution: choose a more wear-resistant trademark or adjust to reduce the cutting speed.
